Have a safe and happy Christmas

On behalf of the National President and the National Executive, I would like to wish all members and their families a very safe and happy Christmas and a prosperous 2011.
This year the Union has overcome a number of challenges, increased and grown the number of union members, seen the beginnings of the federal government’s health reforms and have continued to collectively bargaining for better wages and conditions.
I would particularly like to thank all those hard working HSU delegates across the whole of health for their amazing commitment to the union, their hard work recruiting members and their outstanding work they do to make their workplaces better and safer places to work. Again, thank you.
I look forward to continuing to work with members, delegates and officials to grow our union and to make our workplaces better.
For those of you who are working over the Christmas period, thank you for continuing to care and keeping those essential services running. For those of you who have time off, enjoy your break and come back re-invigorated to help grow our union and make your workplace better and safer.
