Health Professionals National Registration update

All registered members should by now have received a letter
from National Boards regarding the transition to National Registration. Any member who has not received a letter must contact their current registering authority immediately. Failure to do so means risking working while unregistered.
Members should also note that National boards are recruiting professional members for disciplinary tribunals. Members interested in joining hearing panels are encouraged to contact AHAPRA 1300 088 590.
Finally, Western Australia, Tasmania and South Australia are yet to pass their Respective Health Practitioner National Law Bills. The implications of the delay are unclear at this stage but there may be delayed implementation in those states. The HSU will provide information as soon as it becomes available.
