Federal Government Releases Stage 2 of its National Health Reform Plan

Yesterday, 12 April 2010, the Federal Government released Stage 2 of the National Health Reform Plan. The Plan involves an injection of more than $3 billion across Hospitals, Primary Care and Aged Care.
Stage 2 commits the federal government to establishing a four hour National Access Target for hospital emergencies departments, assume full responsibility for aged care in Australia, pay for better health outcomes rather than one off visits to doctors and provide more trainig places for health professionals.
