Productivity Commission releases OHS Benchmarking report
07 April 2010
The Productivity Commission has undertaken a benchmarking exercise into the regulatory burden of Austalia's different Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regimes and what could be considered as costs to employers.
This 450 page report, titled "Performance Benchmarking of Australian Business Regulation: Occupational Health and Safety", clearly supports the federal government's drive to reform OHS and identifies benefits to business of a "harmonised" OHS system and the removal of regulation.
