Reminder - Work Rights Rally on the 28th of June

The 28th of June has been set aside as a day of National Protest against the Federal Government's unfair workchoices legislation.

Rallies will be held in all major centres.

NSW, the major focal point will be the Blacktown showground, with workers meeting there at 9.00 AM.

Victoria, Melbourne workers will march from various points in the city at 10am to Bourke Street where a rally will be held.

Western Australia, Perth will host a rally to be held at Russell Square corner of Parker Ave and James Street at 12 noon.

South Australia, in Adelaide there will be a rally held at 12 noon in Victoria Square.

Queensland, ACTU secretary Greg Combet will be speaking in Brisbane at a rally to be held at 12 noon at the South bank cultural forecourt.

Tasmania, Rallies will be held in Launceston on Wednesday 28 June 2006 with a March from Princes Square at 12:00pm
Rally at Albert Hall 12:30 and in Hobart on the 1st of July outside Parliament House.

Regional centres will be holding events on the 28th also, please check with your local branch to find out details.
