WA aged care staff seek our support
21 December 2004
Western Australian staff working for aged care baron Doug Moran have called for the support of the HSU in getting paid their proper entitlements on the public holidays after Christmas.
Mr Moran is refusing to pay the 50% loading to any of his approximately 300 West Australian aged care workers, who are rostered to work on the Monday and Tuesday public holidays following Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Day.
The care staff, covered by the HSU's partner in aged care, the LHMU, have asked for the support of HSU members in helping to ensure they are paid the proper entitlements.
