Quality Care
The Quality Care campaign is a national campaign being run in the aged care industry by the Health Services Union.
It began in response to overwhelming concerns among members working in the area about excessive workloads and unsafe working environments.
The aims of the Quality Care campaign include the introduction for the first time of minimum safe staffing levels in all aged care facilities and improvements in safety levels.
The Federal Government and employers have repeatedly refused to introduce minimum staffing levels into aged care facilities despite the evidence that they would improve health standards and give residents and their families a basic guarantee of care.
All members of the union whether they work in aged care or not can get involved in this historic campaign.
