Tell the Fair Pay Commission to grant a pay rise to the low paid

Your message: (this letter can be changed to suit your individual circumstances)	As the chairman of the new so-called Fair Pay Commission you should be aware of how important it is that the 1.6 million Australians on award wages get a pay rise. Annual profit growth has averaged 13.5% for the last decade. We have low inflation, low interest rates and low employment. Living standards for many have climbed. But for 1.6 million workers and their dependants, who rely on minimum wages, the boom is a mirage. There is no credible evidence that lifting minimum wages harms employment. I hope you won't be peddling that nonsense in your new job. It's time award workers who are the backbone of the economy get a decent pay rise.
