Health Minister Tony Abbott needs to know exactly what health workers think of the proposed changes to Medicare and the federal government's failure to commit sufficient extra funding to allow hospital workers to cope with the growing demand.

Your message: (this letter can be changed to suit your individual circumstances)	I call on you to abandon the proposed changes to Medicare which will do nothing to stop the decline in the number of patients who have access to bulk billing. All you are doing is trying to pass the burden of healthcare funding to the patients. Minister, you should also get serious about negotiating with the states over a fair share of funding for public hospitals which are getting busier by the day.
